Frequently Asked Questions

What types of events do you play?

I play at restaurants, bars, coffee shops, breweries, and wineries. To help you attract, entertain, and keep your customers happy.

I also play at street fairs, farmer’s markets, corporate events, and private parties of all types.

How much does it cost to book you?

My rates for restaurant and similar venue owners are negotiable. Depending on the size of the venue, length of performance, and whether there’s a sound system available.

For private events I charge between $100-150 per hour. My rate is dependent on how many new songs I need to learn and whether I need to provide a sound system.

Are you able to provide a sound system?

Yes, I can provide amplification for venues with up to 200 attendees.

Do you take requests?

I’m always happy to play a song from my catalog when requested. If you’d like me to play a song that’s not in my catalog, that must be arranged in advance of the performance.

How far in advance should I book you?

I am willing to play events last minute if there are no changes to my song list. If you’d like to add new songs to my list, then please book at least two weeks in advance.

How would you describe your sound?

My live sound is inspired by The Flaming Lips, The Cure, and Dinosaur Jr. I try to apply a unique take or sound to the covers I play to keep the audience surprised and delighted. But, I always retain the essence of the songs so that they’re recognizable and enjoyable.

Which instruments do you play?

My primary instruments are my voice and an electric guitar. I use guitar effects and looping to transform my guitar’s sound to be ambient, experimental, and full. Similarly, I change the way I sing depending on what the song needs going from breathy to full vocals and everything in between. This keeps my sound varied and fresh so that the audience doesn’t feel like the performance is repetitive.

Do you ever play with other musicians?

I mainly play solo, but at times I will play as part of a duo with a keyboard player.
